Planning a travel to New York? Want to record some photos in style? The newest Leica X2 Camera is a Limited Edition by Paul Smith you should consider.
The Paul Smith for Leica collaboration brings together the technical excellence with Leica and the sexy visual appeal of Paul’s creations.
This limited edition of the X2 has a bright orange top plate, hand drawn by Paul, reflecting the flash on the top of the camera. The main body of the camera is wrapped in lovely green leather and the bottom plate of the camera is in contrasting yellow.
Each camera has its own unique limited edition serial number and comes with a great, expertly moulded camera protector and carrying strap in taupe leather.
Like other X2’s, the camera features an APS-C-format, professional CMOS image sensor with 16.5 megapixels (effective 16.2 MP). This is combined with a high-performance Leica Elmarit 24 mm f/2.8 ASPH lens which guarantees maximum image quality and superbly brilliant exposures. In other words, the camera is perfect for discerning photographers who want to take beautiful true-to-life images, perfect for the landscapes of the Big City.
“It has an amazing flash that just pops up, to which we have added a hand drawn doodle of a light bulb, which is obviously quite tongue in cheek and quite fun!”
With only 1500 cameras to be produced the limited edition X2 is likely to be as highly collectible by both Leica connoisseurs and lovers of exclusive lifestyle products.
Available to buy from November 2012.
