George and Amal Clooney, one of the world most famous couples, have just bought a glamorous apartment right in the heart of New York City. The apartment is in One Hundred East Fifty Third Street, in a stunning residential glass tower that’s scheduled to be completed in 2017.
This Norman Foster-designed Midtown skyscraper appealed to the couple for several reasons, such as the design and amenities offered, and also its close proximity to the United Nations, given Amal Clooney’s job.

Details regarding costs, features and luxurious amenities are still unknown, but we have already some information about the building that NY Design Agenda is thrilled to share with you.
According to some rumors, at the moment we know that the glass tower’s high-end amenities will include a wonderful restaurant, which is going to be led by the skillful chef Joël Robuchon, plus a 60-feet swimming pool, a library, a full-service fitness facility, and special concierge services.
The building’s lobby will be a real treasure in itself, featuring a bronze fireplace, fluted Calacatta marble, and a Rachel Feinstein art. How wonderful can that be?
We may not know yet how much the Clooneys paid for this heaven-on-earth property, but we may get a clue. Residences in the building will start at $2.6 million. I truly believe that, with this kind of numbers, the interior design and decorations will surely be the most luxurious possible, out of the ordinary and the jaws dropping kind.
Let’s just hope that the charming actor George Clooney and his lovely wife, human-rights lawyer Amal, get to enjoy their wonderful luxurious heaven on earth for a happy and everlasting love story.
